watercolor on silk

Project based on the work of Albert Camus, L'Etranger.

Camus' work is marked by the heavy light, especially the intensity of the sun. The natural or artificial light seems to sow disorder.
This project aims to transcribe the impact of light and the way it can impress the eye, modify forms and bring the atmosphere so particular of Albert Camus' work.
I first did a photographic work to represente how Meursault (the character) sees the morgue. Small models represent the scene with the funeral evocation, the chairs and the light effects. Then, I wanted to elaborate my images on a flexible support, silk, by treating a special set-up with all the shadows and the volumes of the room.
